Between the parts trade and the vehicle
A motor factor sits between the people who make vehicle parts and the people who fit them. The work is partly supply and partly identification: taking a vehicle, a symptom or a broken component, turning that into a part reference, and quoting against it.
We do that on both sides of the trade — wholesale to buyers in the motor trade, and retail to members of the public. Both are treated the same way: give us the vehicle, and we work from that.
One enquiry, one vehicle, one answer
Every enquiry is answered against the vehicle it concerns. We would rather spend a few minutes pinning down the right variant than send out a part that has to come back, so we ask for the registration or chassis number, the engine code, and whatever is stamped on the old component.
We quote against that reference and set out what we can offer for it, at what price and on what basis. If you need any of that stated formally for your own records — an account application, a purchase ledger or a credit file — ask us and we will put it in a form you can keep.
