Who is responsible

A TO Z AUTOPARTS (MIDLANDS) LTD is the data controller for personal information you provide to it.

You can reach the company by telephone on +44 20 4577 4095, by email at accounts@atozmotorparts.co.uk, or by post at its registered office, given at the foot of this page.

What this website collects

This website sets no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies and contains no third-party scripts, embedded content or social media components. It stores one preference record in your browser if you use the cookie notice, described in the cookie notice.

The enquiry form on the contact page is not connected to a mail handler. Anything typed into it is checked in your browser and is not transmitted to the company or to anyone else, and no copy is kept. If the form is connected in future, this notice will be updated before that happens.

Where this site is hosted, the hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and requested files, for security and operational purposes. That is a matter for the host rather than something this site does.

Information you send us directly

If you contact the company by telephone, email or post, it will hold what you provide — typically your name, contact details, business name where relevant, vehicle details, and the content of your enquiry.

Why it is held, and on what basis

  • To identify parts, answer your enquiry and provide a quotation — because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or in the legitimate interest of responding to an enquiry.
  • To supply goods you order and to administer the resulting account — because it is necessary for performance of that contract.
  • To keep accounting and tax records — because the company is under a legal obligation to do so.

Sharing

Enquiry details may be passed to suppliers where that is necessary to identify or source the part you have asked about, and to the company's accountants, professional advisers or a payment provider where relevant. Information is disclosed to anyone else only where the law requires it. Your details are not sold, and are not used for marketing by other organisations.

How long it is kept

Enquiries that do not lead to an order are kept only as long as needed to deal with them and any follow-up. Records relating to orders and accounts are kept for as long as required for accounting, tax and limitation purposes, and then deleted or destroyed.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information the company holds about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask for erasure or for processing to be restricted, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to data portability where it applies. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to the registered office to exercise any of these.

If you are not satisfied with the response, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection.

Changes

This notice will be updated if the way the company handles personal information changes, and in particular before any part of this website begins to transmit or store what you type into it.
